History: First seismic station at BEL was put up in the mid-1960s. It was in fact the station moved out from Warsaw for the duration of a long term renovation. Logistic reasons at the time have caused the move back to Warsaw and abandonment of BEL. After 35 years the urban noise at WAR has grown and caused the IGFPAS to move the digital broadband seismic station from Warsaw to BEL. Location of this new deployment within BEL differs from the 1966 location by about 200 m. Coordinates of BEL that were registered in the 1960s are erroneous by about 1 km due to an unresolved reason.
